The annual examinations-2011 of BA (Pass) part-I and part-II for both the regular and external candidates and BSc (part-I and part-II) for the same year will commence on Dec 10 under the aegis of Karachi University.

However, BCom (part-I and part-II) annual examinations-2011 for the regular candidates will begin on Dec 24.

Giving details of the BA (Pass) part-I and part-II (including improvement of division) annual examinations-2011, a spokesperson for the university said that timings of the papers would be from 2pm to 5pm on all working days, except for Fridays when they would be held between 2.30pm and 5.30pm.

He said that BA (part-II) first paper — Pakistan Studies (compulsory) — was scheduled to be held on Saturday (Dec 10) while BA (part-I) first paper —Islamic Studies (Islamiat) compulsory/moral philosophy (for Non-Muslims) — would be held on Monday (Dec 12).

Examination centres for male candidates have been set up at various departments of the university, while for female candidates at different public and private sector colleges of the city.

The spokesperson, however, clarified that though the examination centres for all the male candidates (both regular and external) of BA (pass), part-I and part-II, annual examinations had been set up at various departments of the university and for female candidates at different government and private women colleges of the city, their papers scheduled to be held from
Dec 24 to Jan 10 would be held at the following centralised examination centres.

The centralised examination centre for all male candidates (both regular and external) has been set at Karachi University’s Science Faculty’s Mathematics department and for all female candidates (both regular and external) at Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan Govt College of Home Economics.

However, all those papers which were scheduled to be held between Dec 10 and Dec 23 and also from Jan 11 to Jan 19 would be conducted at their original centres, he said.
