    FILL IN THE BLANKS

    1. ‘THE BLANKET’ is written by florid dell.
    2. It was fine September night.
    3. Peter was eleven year old.
    4. The blanket was a gift from his dad
    5. Peter had not really believed his dad would send granddad away.
    6. Together the old man and they young boy watched the suffer dishes.
    7. I‘ll get my harmonica and play for you.
    8. It was the last night they would have together.
    9. The tin moon was high overhead and the gentle breeze blew down the valley.
    10. It is a poor tune, except to be dancing to.
    11. He heard his dad get angry in his slow way.
    12. No matter what you sat, he doesn’t need a double blanket!
    13. Dad looked at her with a funny look in his eye.
    14. She turned to dad and said to him coldly, “must have passed a prettypenny”.
    15. The girl stood there still looking at the blanket.
