Good News for STC Users: Transfer Your Credit to International Number.

Now You Can Transfer Credit Instantly to Your Friends and Loved Ones Wherever They Are
STC LAUNCHES INTERNATIONAL CREDIT TRANSFER SERVICE TO ITS CUSTOMERS

In a first of its kind initiative in the region STC launched the International Credit Transfer Service to Its customers enabling Al Jawal pre-paid customers to transfer fixed amounts from their own credit to the mobiles of their friends and families in other countries via other telecom operators outside the Kingdom.

The Company mentioned that this service have been activated with other operators in six countries which include the Philippines, Indonesia ,Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India and Jordan.
In the Philippines STC works with three operators which include Globe, Smart, Sun.
In Indonesia the Company works with Telkomsel Simpati/Indosat Mentari/IM3 Indosat Axis/XLBebas/Telkomsel Kartu As, while in Sri Lanka STC partnered with Telekom/Tigo Srilanka Dialog.
In Pakistan the partners are Wareed/Ufone,
in India there are six partners that include BPL/Idea/Vodafone/Airtel/TATA/Reliance/Aircel
and
in Jordan, STC partnered with Umniah.

With regards to the credit transfer mechanism, STC confirmed that only Al Jawal pre-paid customers can transfer credit internationally in Saudi Riyals and is received in the currency of the country it is transferred to taking into consideration the exchange rate between the two countries.
STC indicated that the transfer process includes three key stages the first is to receive the list of target countries by sending (countries) or the number (10) to 801500 to receive the list of available countries.

In the second step, the customer receives the price list and the code of the amount to be transferred by sending a sms with the countries name to 801500 and will then receive a text message with the amounts that can be transferred along with a price list.

In the third step the customer transfers the credit by sending a (133* then the number the beneficiary and the code number of the amount) to 801500 as shown in the following example (133*100130020100*3).
STC assured that once the message receives the customer, he will receive a message showing the amount transferred in addition to the mobile number it was transferred to in order to confirm the transaction by sending the letter “Y”.

The Customer can receive assistance by sending the word “help” or “20” to 801500 and can also receive a list of previous transactions by sending the word “status” or “30” to the number 801500.

It is worth mentioning that STC launched a SAWA promotion two weeks ago (buy one card and receive two free ones) which offer huge discounts exceeding 66% from the basic price of the recharge cards. A SR 50 card is valued at SR 70, and a SR 100 card is valued at 140 while a SR 300 card is valued at SR 500.
